This is Emma. She loves speed. She loves movement. She loves to engage. She loves to giggle. ANd Finally she is able to and loves to tell us her thoughts!
Together, we are a small but mighty family driven by the love for our daughter and our belief that she CAN.
But living in this world with CVI and CCN (complex communication needs), can often lead people think she doesn’t. She isn’t interested. Worse, that she can’t.
Spend a little time with her, with accommodations for her CVI to her AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), and you’ll quickly learn that couldn’t be further from the truth. As we share more of our story, I know you’ll find it true.
It’s our hope by sharing our story, that when people see other “Emmas” they’ll see it in them too.
